Poster Design
The following are posters that I have worked on throughout my years at Milligan College. My goal is to create a message within my poster designs so that audiences can become interested in the event or symbol of the event that is represented.

This graphic design showcase poster was created based on studying Taxali's illustrations. Using his characterized style and techniques, I was able to design a poster that could be used for a graphic design showcase event. My idea came to illustrate that graphic designers should hold on to their ideas and never let them go as represented with the little girl embracing the light bulb. The song "Tlatelolco" by Banda Bostik was used to communicate a strong desire for justice that was never solved in Mexico. I used the lyrics to form the imagery shown in order to express how the citizen's right to protest was taken away as the government solved it with violence (dove being stabbed by the bayonet). This massacre happened ten days before the 1968 Olympics in Mexico. I used imagery to express the meaning of the song. Software featured: Adobe Illustrator
Based on the 1950s science fiction film posters, I created a film festival poster that would celebrate this specific event. This was my first experience on Adobe Photoshop which I learned several techniques such as layering and experimenting with the tools that Photoshop contains. Using a digital camera, I took photos of my friends while they were sparring to feature them in this poster. I had to make the opponent appear like a robot using Photoshop.
